NAKAYAMA has started an gearly morning cleaningh since NAKAYAMA president (Yoshihito Tanaka) met Mr. Kagiyama, a founder of Yellow Hat Co. Ltd. on December 23rd, 1991. During bubble growth, we only aimed to expand company with gprofit-firsth policy and successfully well glowed to get a higher position in our industry in terms of sales, profit and scale. Conversely however our technical skills as well as the quality of our company itself were lowered. As a result of that, NAKAYAMA became a sort of a big oaf.

NAKAYAMA president met Mr. Kagiyama when he felt something was wrong. Talking with him, NAKAYAMA president recognized that the way of management of the past was misguided and learned the importance of cleaning together. Since then we have engaged in gearly morning cleaningh.

Surprisingly after we began gearly morning cleaningh, NAKAYAMA greatly improved capital adequacy ratio, current ratio as well as technical skills even though sales were down. Moreover thanks to doing cleaning together, communications among staff got dramatically better and work efficiency was improved. Also we successfully reduce defects by 50“. NAKAYAMA has become a healthy and solid company.

To let more people experience benefits of cleaning and learn something form doing cleaning together, the first gathering was hold in Nihon Taisyo village under the tuition of Mr. Kagiyama in December of 1993. Participants clean bathrooms of elementary or junior high school together. Since then, in many part of Japan "Gathering to learn something from cleaning" has been given. More and more companies and individuals have joined in these events.
